Software and Control Systems Engineer - Oxfordshire (BST-106285)

Apply now

Software and Control Systems Engineer
Oxfordshire, England

Williams Hybrid Power are developing electric flywheel energy storage technology for mobile, hybrid and electric vehicle applications and are now looking for a Software and Control Systems Engineer to become part of their product development team to work on several high profile endurance motorsport programmes.

The company now has active demonstrator programmes in public transportation applications that lead towards sales of serial production hybrid systems.
The Software and Control Systems Engineer will write, test and refine the software that control the products. Energy storage flywheels are powered by permanent magnet BLDC machines, so you will understand the principle and application of control strategies for driving these at high frequency.

The successful applicant will be able to design and implement code for higher-level, application specific control layers, such as a hybrid manager.
As the Software and Control Systems Engineer you will hold a degree in engineering and ideally have experience writing embedded code, ideally for TI devices.

Experience with safety critical code development and validation to DO-178b or similar would be an advantage.

Your CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978. The services advertised by Jonathan Lee Recruitment are those of an Employment Agency.
