Configuration Control Specialist

Our client designs and manufactures aerostructures for both the civil and military aerospace markets.
The Configuration Control Specialist manages Configuration Control for NPI and Legacy programs at our Hamble site, ensuring that all changes represent the best available business solution. The CCB Chair works closely with project teams to implement proper configuration control as new designs are introduced, and participates in all program reviews to ensure certification milestones are being meet.
Essential Responsibilities : Demonstrate responsibility for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications
Execute Configuration Control related to programs, products or systems that fulfill customer requirements
Work with Airframe integrators to ensure design changes affecting the Part 25/33 Certification are properly identified and coordinated
Lead Projects and initiatives to drive productivity through use of computer tools
Ensure that all policies and procedures are properly documented and being stringently followed thru all phases of the program.
Identify the need for and conduct program reviews for internal and external customers
Implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements within schedule and budget constraints
Desired Characteristics : Must have working knowledge of Regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, etc.) relative to Part 33 and Part 25 Aircraft hardware
Strong and demonstrated experience with Product Data Management (PDM) Systems, Digital Pre-assembly and Digital Mockup systems
Knowledge of regulatory agency certification procedures
