Our Yorkshire-based client is a global Tier 2 designer and manufacturer of advanced electronic and electromechanical (mechatronic) products for the automotive industry including control units, sensors, monitors and motors.

Main Duties
The main area of focus for the role is to correlate the roles of Production Scheduling and Material Control translating information from the Sales department and direct from customers into an efficient manufacturing plan


Job description
-Create a balanced manufacturing plan to meet the requirements of customer using the company s resources
-Will be responsible for monitoring production performance and identify any corrective actions to ensure the production plan is adhered to and materials are readily available
- Develop and implement action plans and followed through to conclusion to improve efficiency in the business
-Liaise with and action all feedback from Sales, Production, Engineering, Design, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure that the manufacturing plan in up to date and also customers are made aware of any potential issues and delays
-Identify potential issues and look for solutions to prevent problems in the production process

Key skills and experience
-Candidates should have relevant experience from the Production and /or material planning department of a manufacturing environment.
-Previous experience working with SAP preferred with a high level of knowledge of the systems
-Understanding of production systems ideally within a Lean manufacturing environment
-German language skills preferred for liaising with customers and suppliers
