The Commercial Co-ordinator will be responsible to the Customer Business Manager and will be commercially responsible for major automotive projects from inception and through the whole life of the product. Operationally the Commercial Co-ordinator works with the Customer Business Manager, Programme Managers and is the day to day interface with the customer.
The main responsibilities of the Commercial Co-ordinator will be to co-ordinate centralised activities of the internal departments of Finance, Purchasing, and Project Engineering to:-
Prepare budgetary quotations.
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
Prepare detailed cost-packs.
Compile well structured, accurate and concise data sheets for internal and external presentations.
Monitor cost-pack detail against actual cost/achievements after implementation.
To assist the Customer Business Manager and Programme Managers in a supporting role with automotive customers, and to act as customer liaison on commercial issues with the Customer Business Manager and Programme Managers.
To produce and maintain accurate cost tracking throughout the lifetime of products and report into weekly departmental meetings any changes to sales prices.
Control purchase orders and ensure invoicing of all orders to agreed timing.
Ideally, the Project Commercial Co-ordinator will be:
Experienced in the use of spreadsheets.
Have previous experience in a customer facing commercial role.
Have a commercial awareness, preferably from a financial background.
Possess good communication/inter-personal skills.
Have an appreciation of a manufacturing environment.
Have high attention to detail.
Be methodical and logical and possess good organisational skills.
Be organised to be able to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving automotive environment and with a high commitment to quality.
