Applications Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit an Applications Engineer to support with their Powertrain Products Division in Coventry.
Following fundamental training, the successful candidate will take over the support of international customers.
Within the scope of engine development programs, the individual will be responsible for developing technical solutions.
Expertise is additionally requested in the daily project work with internal colleagues in sales, research and development as well as production.
Within the global organisation, they communicate in English, however, they do work in an international field, language skills, especially German will be very welcome but not essential
There will be responsibility for job completion and will have convincing innovative ideas as well as have a problem solving attitude.
The successful applicant will ideally hold a degree or HNC in mechanical engineering or similar, they will have hands on experience in metallurgy, combustion engine design and engine testing is desirable.
They will have experience in dealing with automotive OEMs at engineering and plant level. They will be computer literate and will be confident in written and oral communication with the ability to conduct presentations of a technical nature. They must be willing to travel frequently (applicant must have a current passport.)
