TRW Electric Power Steering Systems is a major automotive component supplier manufactures high integrity, engineered, electro-mechanical systems. With strong vision and investment plans, and an excellent order book, they now seek a Functional Integration Team Leader
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement plans for the future development of global software functional integration with EPS. This is to include developing the technology roadmap, identifying tool and training requirements and generating processes.
Coordinate application projects to ensure consistency across global applications and core.
Develop resource plans for core development, applications and bid win activities
Work with the Systems Department Manager to develop tools and processes leading to SPICE Level 3 accreditation. Roll out such tools and processes and ensure a globally consistent approach
Perform line management, including appraisals, for members of the Functional Integration Team
Support customer meetings for both bid and application projects as necessary. (Some overseas travel may occasionally be required)
Essential Skills required:
Experience of team leadership and delivery in a technically and commercially challenging environment
Able to motivate a team and supply a strong positive attitude.
2.1 or better degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
Understanding of software/systems design and tools and methods.
Knowledge of using real-time embedded software (C language) to support algorithm development activities.
Experience of writing formal software requirements specifications.

Preferred skills required:
An understanding of analogue and digital electronic hardware.
Matlab and/or Simulink experience preferably with automatic target code generation.
Familiarity with SPICE or equivalent
Understanding of CAN-bus communications and diagnostics over CAN
Knowledge design for safety-critical applications and/or automotive component development and industrialization.
Six-Sigma Green Belt certified
