Dimensional Control and Build Integrity Engineer - 20046 - 20.99 Ltd Co Rate

Position Description:
This role is to support key deliverables within the Dimensional Control and Build Integrity department. The primary function will be to deliver the ECube and / or PCF (Part Coordination Fixture) builds to cover future model introduction. These positions will report to the Manager of Dimensional Process and Verification.
Skills Required:
Manage the planning and coordination of ECube or PCF build events to support the maturation activities for trim and final components or body panels. Develop clear and concise day by day build plans and monitor delivery against plan identifying catchback strategies if required. Support and input to design reviews on media to ensure required functionality is provided. Coordinate cross functional teams to deliver required project deliverables. Ensure that all issues identified are recorded and raised in the appropriate issue management system and drive resolution using defined methods. Ensure that all enablers are in place to support planned build actions including resources / tools / parts and facilities. Support the implementation and monitoring of the department`s compliance with corporate initiatives / standards (TS16949, ISO 14001, etc). Use the appropriate standards for legal compliance of all procured Dimensional Control Media, and co-ordinate their use at the appropriate stages of a programme. Represent the Project Engineers and Manager within the Dimensional and Process Verification department.
Skills Preferred:
BIW commissioning / Trim and Final process experience. Greenbelt / Blackbelt training.
Experience Required:
The role demands a self starting individual with a dynamic and flexible mind set. Engineers should be highly self-motivated, production orientated individuals, with proven team leading and effective communication skills. Applicants should ideally possess an HNC and HND or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline. The individual should have proven experience in BIW / toolmaking and or trim and final. The individual should be able to demonstrate experience of using ECube`s for Trim and Final part maturation or PCF / master body gauges for body panel maturation. Computer literacy including Excel, PowerPoint and Project and an ability to write technical reports and give presentations are essential requirements. Experience in metrology principles, manufacturing engineering and assembly processes. The individual should have experience of CAD toolsets and using these to conduct virtual reviews.
Education Required:
A relevant engineering degree and / or relevant experience.
