A world leader in the field of advanced fuel injection systems to the car, truck and industrial sectors is seeking a Project /Programme Manager to manage the delivery of new products from inception through to manufacture. These projects will range from complete new product introduction to applying existing technology for new applications.
As the Project/Programme Manager you will ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget
The Programme Manager will have a number of Project Managers who work for them and who may deliver more than one project each.
The Project Manager will work on the detail of individual projects.
Manage project team from all areas of the business
Resolve any major problems that may arise
Manage customer relationships on project issues
Make sure that the project teams stay within agreed delivery timescales and that the project progresses smoothly, dealing with any major problems that may arise

The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of the technology and development process and use this to apply pressure to the project teams to ensure timescales are adhered to.
Negotiate with functional managers to determine the resources required to deliver the individual projects, ensuring that estimates are available to support quotations and that the resource is then made available to fulfil the estimate
Contribute to the development of world class product introduction, programme and project management processes
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, ideally Mechanical or Production Engineering with proven experience gained within automotive, powertrain or aerospace industry.
As the Project /Programme Manager you will have a full understanding of formalised project management processes, having completed projects from cradle to grave.
Must be proficient with managing data from a number of sources and be able to deal with representatives from all areas of the business as well as interacting with the customers.
Technical knowledge of complex systems/components with excellent leadership and communication skills is a must.
