Production Manager
Sittingbourne, Kent, England
The UK s largest manufacturer and recycler of paper are now looking for a Production Manager.
As a result of an internal promotion this opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced individual to coordinate production activities on one of the CCM paper machines or within the recycling plant.
Reporting to the Site Production Manager the successful individual will be primarily responsible for working on continuous improvement of the plant uptime and output.
One of the key roles will be the operation and optimisation of production processes to ensure target machine efficiencies are consistently achieved.
The Production Manager must have excellent communication skills across all levels of the business with proven people
management and leadership skills.
You will facilitate the development of standard operating procedures and ensure all production is made to agreed specifications.
Utilising weekly and monthly data you will be expected to identify improvements that could deliver an increase in productivity.
To succeed in this role, you will need to drive the progress of agreed actions to ensure maximum benefit to the business is delivered in the best possible time.
You will also be required to maintain an in-depth industry knowledge to facilitate the Company`s proactive involvement within the European papermaking and corrugating industry.
The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an engineering/sciences discipline.
Proven production management experience and demonstrative
commercial awareness as well as solid experience in quality driven, manufacturing environments.
Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and influencing skills and display excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
