A Project Manager for Prototype Engine Build is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands

Description
Position Description:
Project Manager - Prototype Engine Build

Coordination of the overall engine build activity including build planning, build specification confirmation, tracking of parts order and delivery status to support start of build on time, coordination of rigs and spares and instrumentation requirements. Act as focal point for general communication and coordination between the design and prototype build teams.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Working knowledge of engine technologies and components and engineering prototype build process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate effectively across multiple teams, chair prototype build meetings, and lead problem resolution teams or discussions as required. Computer literate - able to work accurately with Excel spreadsheets.

Skills Preferred:
Able to work on own initiative to programme deadlines. Working knowledge of OEM WERS, AIMS and GPRS systems. Current driving licence.

Details
Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years experience within a programme office or prototype build environment.

Experience Preferred:
Previous experience within a OEM powertrain environment is preferred.

Education Required:
It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to a HNC/D or degree level in an engineering or automotive discipline. However candidates with significant powertrain experience will also be considered.

Applicants MUST have proof of immediate and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.
