Our client is a highly regarded specialist in Manual Handling Solutions and Equipment with a forward thinking and innovative approach. The Company has plans to double its business over the next 3 years, which means the Technical Team will not
only focus on bespoke items, but also work on and develop Company driven projects, from new product lines to
existing product development and cost reduction. They are therefore looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer who can quickly integrate themselves into the business whilst also bringing new skills and experience to the Department.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Advise on matters of Mechanical engineering and undertake electrical engineering duties where required.
To proactively seek to improve and modify existing products, carrying out changes as agreed with the Technical Manager.
Compile and provide quotes for bespoke work as directed.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified and be able to use their own initiative to proactively work through problems and to find information. There will be particular emphasis on the design side of the role, with the appointed candidate able to show their skills as a mechanical designer. Basic understanding of mechanical engineering design with experience of 2D CAD/3D systems preferably AUTOCAD and SOLIDWORKS. Understanding of manufacturing processes.
