A Powertrain Cooling System Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Dunton, Basildon, Essex.

Job Requirements
Position Description:
Powertrain Cooling System Engineer, working as part of a team to design & develop cooling systems and components, for application in our client’s vehicles worldwide.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of powertrain cooling systems & technologies (preferred but not essential). Experience with the tools of engineering quality (FMEA, 8D, 6-Sigma, etc). Excellent administrative skills and level of organisation. Program management skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of OEM processes (preferred but not essential).
Details
Experience Required:
Candidates should have good general knowledge of automotive mechanical engineering systems, preferably gained in a powertrain environment.
Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of cooling system component manufacturing, design or durability requirements is a distinct advantage.
Education Required:
Candidates must have a minimum of HND in a mechanical or fluid engineering discipline, ideally educated to degree level.
