Job Requirements
Basic Function: Help to transform the maintenance provision from an essentially reactive/traditional maintenance function into a proactive, predictive, multi skilled division, focused on prevention of breakdowns, continuous improvement and planned preventative maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Joint responsibility for the day to day management of Maintenance Ensuring punctual delivery of tractors by driving zero breakdown of manufacturing equipment Organising and ensuring the efficient operation of the Maintenance team in terms of cost, quality and labour performance Organising the daily labour requirements, managing absence & skills versatility Managing and reducing maintenance costs and expenses Manning levels to be monitored and controlled as required through use of multi skilled training methods and close communication with the production requirements Completing daily time records Developing maintenance resources focusing on continuous improvement and maximizing the reliability of equipment Environmental, health and safety management within the Maintenance Area and works carried out by the Maintenance team. Resolving health and safety issues

Details
Ideally educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent in a manufacturing or engineering discipline High level of PLC and system knowledge / qualification Knowledge of the Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of the maintenance area. Experience of manufacturing / process plant and systems Experience of and utilization of World Class Manufacturing Techniques such as 5S, Continuous improvement teams, lean tools and problem solving techniques Ability to interpret and transfer manufacturing performance numbers into improvement actions through root cause analysis Excellent IT skills including database creation and reporting Experience of Root Cause analysis and Pareto analysis of downtime and wastages Experience of using and implementing and Total Productive Maintenance System; including scheduling, MTBF, MTTR, Spare parts Possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to develop and coach members within team Knowledge of assembly line processes Good product knowledge Understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. Knowledge of Kaizen lean manufacturing methods Previous experience of managing/leading a team
