Manufacturing Engineer
Herefordshire, England
Our Client is a leading manufacturer of specialist spraying equipment for a wide range of applications worldwide. They currently export 90% of products produced at two sites in the UK.
To support growth plans they are seeking a manufacturing engineer to for production at the Herefordshire site.
Initiating improvements to existing product design for manufacture
Implementing improved assembly / production processes
Preparation and maintenance of Technical Construction files to support compliance with CE marking.
Developing QA procedures for incoming / manufactured goods
Development of jigs and fixtures to improve production work flow
Liaison with suppliers to ensure quality of supply
Preparation and maintenance of process documentation
Skills and Experience
Engineering background
Experience in production engineering/operations within a manufacturing environment is essential
Knowledge of 3D CAD Design (preferably Solidworks) , MS Word and Excel
Knowledge of metal fabrication and plastic injection moulding
Ability to initiate and manage projects
Familiarity with MRP and production planning
Experience in product compliance and CE marking
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and other workplace practices
Competent communicator with good interpersonal skills
