Supplier Quality Engineer required by global engineering/manufacturing company based Stafford. With hundreds of locations worldwide, this organisation serve and support customers, providing small/medium sized construction machines typically used on construction sites.
This role is fundamentally a reactive quality position responsible for day-to-day management of the Supplier Corrective Action process. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for developing initial action plans with the supplier and communicating these to facility management in order to ensure minimal disruption to internal production whilst maintaining product quality and protecting our customers
Reporting directly to the site Supplier Quality Supervisor this role is responsible and accountable for the following:

Manage supplier related quality issues in response to Assembly, Test, Final Finish, Pre Service or Warranty
The robust application of the 8D process to ensure that internal and supplier driven containment actions are implemented
Supplier contact and relationship development in partnership with the Process Control Engineering teams
Progress and review permanent corrective actions in order to prevent reoccurrence of issues
Support quality improvement initiatives with Suppliers and Global Purchase in order to deliver improvements in product quality and supplier performance
Use site based reporting systems in order to communicate requirements and results (QSI, Apexon, etc)
Data gathering and manipulation for reporting
Major Issue management and ownership
