The company currently supplies electronic systems to the aerospace industry for both civil and defence applications. Their major area of business at Cheltenham is avionics systems. There is scope for working on a variety of projects and products and the constantly changing approach to systems and procedures in house means that engineers have a real opportunity to help shape the organisation.
This role will be building Mechanical and Electromechanical modules and LRU`s with a focus on "right 1st time", supporting and overseeing Test process, Acceptance Test Procedure runs and ESS tests. This will include all aspects of build of Mechanical and electro-Mechanical systems or subassemblies, cable forms and wiring harnesses. Compliance with and adherence to process procedures schedules and test monitoring and recording requirements are fundamental within this role.
The roles are on a shift basis - 3 shifts (earlies/lates/nights).

Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be PC literate
- Flexible working and shift working is a feature of the role.
- Desire to learn new skills and develop.
- Understanding / knowledge and appreciation of high voltage.
- Excellent influencing and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for completing tasks.
- Proactive self starter with a can do attitude.
- An interest in general electronics and mechanical assembly work
- Capability to recognise and identify components with training
- Capability to understand technical drawings and instructions
