Our client is the market leader in high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.

We are recruiting for a Body-in-White Manufacturing Engineer on a 9-month contract based in Solihull.

As Body-in-White Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the following skills:
* Develop Bodyshop Process concepts in line with Bill of Process for BIW
* Working with Product Development ensure feasible joining solutions for all joints.
* Support Module Meetings/PMST to ensure cross functional working with Stamping, DMBI.
* Maximise equipment usage to achieve project Capital Investment targets.
* Develop Process solutions to meet Hrs/car target
* Maximise operator efficiency by load window
*Develop process concept to meet Volume aspirations including buffer, technical availability overspeeds and Takt time to support financial planning volumes.
* Support Virtual series milestones to deliver feasible concepts by
* Use Aims and Production Snag Tracker to drive resolution of issues through to Performance buy-off - Drive Aims and Snag closure by phase
* Process Planner, RobCAD familiarisation and Catia V5

Experience of vehicle body assembly process development, joining technologies and body assembly equipment including tooling, automation and robotics is essential. You will also possess relevant project control skills with strong communication and negotiation skills. Evidence of an innovative approach to technical problem solving and process development. The ability to recognise the value of, and employ best-in-class processes wherever practicable. The ability to work with financial information with technical decision-making. The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary teams in the pursuit of complex technical solutions and commissioning issues.

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline. However, consideration will be given to those who can demonstrate exceptional, relevant expertise and experience in a Manufacturing Body Construction environment in lieu of formal qualifications.
