We are recruiting for a Logistics Analyst on an 18-month fixed term contract based in Leicester.

As Logistics Analyst, you will to assist the Logistics team as we transition to SAP. The role will be a fixed term contract required until the transition is completed by October 2013.

Duties will include:
* Manage materials to defined flow paths
* Manage excess/aged inventory, maximize inventory turns and improve order-to-delivery results
* Monitor supplier performance, freight charges, inventory counts, inventory record accuracy - determine root cause and take corrective action
* Perform inventory reconciliations and resolve grief between UKHA and customers inventory systems
* Document and maintain standard work for transactional process
* Monitor metrics past dues, forecast accuracy, drop in orders, committed ship date - determine root cause and take corrective action
* Coordinate New Product Introductions
* Schedule interplant and supplier purchased parts and materials and resolve related grief

Applicants are required to have the following skills:
Essential:
* Prioritise own work in a dynamic environment
* Field issues and communicates response and actions to customers daily
* Experience in material planning, procurement, scheduling, inventory management and related supply chain activities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including manipulating data within Microsoft packages
* Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and must be able to communicate effectively at all levels
* Ability to use own initiative and recommend process improvements
* Must be customer focused and have ability to build relationship with both supplier and customer

Desirable:
Educated to Degree level in Business Management / Supply Chain / Manufacturing Logistics or equivalent
