Our client is a first tier automotive supplier of press and fabricated assemblies, an experienced automotive production manager is responsible to take responsibility for a 100 people working a 3 shift system.
- To manage a team of people to deliver first class productivity results whilst excelling in repeatable quality ;
- To supervise and co-ordinate the daily activities of the production team on press, assembly rework and any other production activity on the site through team leaders addressing the business needs via the manning and skill base to ensure all business needs are met each and every day.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of power presses / assembly equipment focussing on improving strike rate, right first time quality, high output rate on assemblies and overall reducing downtime.
An experienced Production Manager is required who has automotive industry knowledge, BIW experience and manufacturing knowledge is essential. Along with good communication skills to team and peer group and be driven by continuous improvement - Lean.
