Our Client based in the Isle of Man produces components and assemblies for the Mechanical Systems sub - division of a global aerospace Group. These products comprise mechanical, electro-mechanical and hydraulic actuation systems for aerospace and defence applications.

This role is to manage a team of Technicians engaged in the tasks of assembling and testing various kit components and sub-assemblies used in hydraulic systems for aerospace and marine applications.

Essentially to concurrently managing multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality.

Responsible for ensuring that customer schedules and specification requirements are satisfied.

Assigning and managing daily workloads to meet targets and drive continuous process and quality improvement of the assembly and test process.

Maintaining tooling and equipment including calibration requirements and to confer with the engineering department on product requirements, test plans and procedures as the need arises.

Working with internal suppliers to ensure that the assembly requirements for supporting components and consumables are under stood and satisfied.

Proven strong man management skills and able to motivate the team to meet quality and production targets.

Have a sound mechanical engineering background with familiarity of hydraulic systems - aircraft hydraulic equipment knowledge preferred.

Must be familiar with engineering drawings and specifications and must be competent in the use of standard measuring equipment.

Ability to lead and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
