Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer
–great opportunity for an Engineer with a background in cooling systems, thermal management, engine development, vehicle test & development or cooling sub-systems.

DESCRIPTION:

Based on a very attractive University campus, this Technical Centre was established in 2005 bringing together the best of European talent and expertise in whole vehicle development. Employing 250 Engineers and Specialists it is now regarded as an engineering centre of excellence.  Over £85 million has been invested in the Centre since its foundation with plans for further with headcount growing to 350 this year and into next. Engaged in conventional IC engine, hybrid and electric powered vehicle development, the Centre is located in Coventry, commutable from Birmingham, Leicester, Warwick, Milton Keynes, Northampton. 

A very exciting opportunity has now been created for a Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer with a background in vehicle cooling, engine cooling, engine development, vehicle test & development or cooling sub-system (fan / radiator) development to join the team.

VAC REQ:

This is an opportunity that will appeal to candidates who are interested in developing a career within Vehicle Integration working on thermal systems development. A very exciting opportunity that will give candidates exposure to a wide range of projects, including;

•             Development of powertrain (including e-drive) cooling / thermal management on low carbon vehicles

•             Advanced engineering projects on battery thermal management systems

•             Development of concept demonstrators for senior management reviews

•             Supporting  the parent company’s product development overseas, undertaking test & development activities in Europe and worldwide

•             Concept Engineering and CAE analysis review in support of new projects, including liaison with the Design (Styling) group

•             Vehicle benchmarking and feature reviews of competitor products and target setting

•             Development of control systems for advanced cooling / thermal management systems

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates will need to be Degree qualified and be able to demonstrate strong numeracy and literacy skills and have experience in vehicle
cooling, engine cooling, engine development, vehicle test or development or sub-system (fan / radiator) development.
