This is a permanent role for a mid-level Metallurgist who wants to move into laboratory management in the near future, we are working with an established West Midlands based firm who are looking for a person to complement their laboratory staff of 15 people.

The role is predominantly in-house testing of materials, the materials come from their customers and this role will be to process the test and then deliver the results, making any recommendations that are necessary. Any supervisory or management experience would be useful as the firm are looking to develop this position into a more management based role taking management responsibility for another two sites, one the Midlands and the other in the North West totalling 29 staff.

The firm is very well established, trading of rover 50 years and is a well-known Midlands provider of testing (inc NDT, Mechanical, Failure and Radiography among others), they principally provide into the aerospace markets but also cover F1 and Petrochemical.

This is a permanent role with a generous salary bracket depending on experience, a 2 stage interview process with the first stage being office based and the second being laboratory based.
