Project Manager/Engineer - Electrical Facilites

A new 12 month contract opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager/Engineer for a market leading automotive manufacturer.
This is a maternity cover opportunity between November 2012 and December 2013.
The individual will be responsible for the following:
* Interface with, monitor and manage providers to deliver all aspects of the contract pertaining to Assets, Equipment, Systems, Services under the responsibility of the Controls Engineer.
* Plan, prioritise and deliver "Controls" Projects ranging from small works (FDRs) to complex comprehensive installations at various sites.
* Coordinate both Maintenance and Project Management activities in "Controls" discipline
* Provide technical guidance to PA-610 Team and representatives at other locations within the UK on Assets, Equipment, Systems, Services under the responsibility of the Controls Engineer (ie, BMS, Fire/ Intruder/ General alarm systems, CCTV, Emergency lights, PA systems, UPS systems etc.)
* Act as OFTC (One Face To Customer) interfacing PA-610 with Business partners FZ (IT Dept.)
Key Accountabilities:
* Assist the providers in the delivery of PM activities and remedial works as necessary
* Weekly meetings with the provider following the set agenda in relation to Assets, Equipment, Systems, Services under the responsibility of the Controls Engineer.
* Maintain the various detailed information spreadsheets as a source of information into the Monthly Contract reports.
* Agree with the provider the information content and overall performance status illustrated in each Monthly report.
* Regularly audit the Provider adherence to processes within the contract specification.
* Options identification, evaluation and proposal justification on all Project requirements
* Ensure Legislation and Regulation requirements are adhered to in all Maintenance and Project Management activities.
* Recognise and follow internal processes
* Coordination of Maintenance and Project Management activities to ensure no disruption to Business partner (customer) processes/ activities.
* Thorough communication and documentation, maintaining all information up-to-date.
* Deliver projects to site standards within Quality (specification), time and cost targets
* Develop site standards and long term planning for Assets, Equipment, Systems, Services under the responsibility of the Controls Engineer.
* Assist in Reactive maintenance activities when applicable / necessary
* Provide IT support within the department
Qualifications and Skills:
* Knowledge of Technical, HandS and Environmental Legislation
* Overview knowledge of the process at applicable site(s)
* Competence in the process of options identification, evaluation and proposal justification.
* Experience with performance measures and audits.
* Experience and ability to communicate with customers (residents at applicable sites).
* Experience and ability to negotiate with internal and external bodies.
* Experience and ability to prioritise and manage own time
* Recognised engineering apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent, or ability to demonstrate good knowledge and experience
* Recognised training accreditation for Controls systems
* Self motivated and autonomous
* Knowledge of the following would be useful:-BMS systems, Honeywell & Johnsons, Security systems, Kaba (ISAS software), Gunnebo & Kaba turnstiles, CCTV, Intruder alarms, Back up systems, UPS systems & generators, Fire Alarm system, Protec & ADT inc. Air sampling, leak detection, IR detectors, Kitchen deluge, Monitoring and alarm systems, Digi-lite emergency lighting systems, sure Safe gas detection
