Account Engineer -Salary £25- 32k- Automotive - Durham

An experienced Account Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer with a strong manufacturing background and experience of the Automotive manufacturing sector would be preferred is required for a varied role with a leading manufacturing company based in County Durham.

With strong business acumen, good commercial awareness and complex negotiation skills, applicants will have the ability to successfully project manage commercial, and when necessary technical requirements, to exacting standards of customer demand. That said, applicants will be flexible and adaptable, have an eye for detail and demonstrate a results driven approach to set objectives

Main areas of Responsibility
-Ensure that the current customer accounts are effectively managed in relation to raw material recovery, BOP recovery, engineering changes, claims etc.
-Communicate effectively between the customer and internal functions to ensure clear understanding of the customer's requirements and to facilitate satisfactory resolution to any issues arising.
-Develop and secure new business opportunities and to manage commercial aspects of new projects.
-Compliance with all company standards, such as quality, environment and safety standards are key to the role.
-The job holder will be required to collage and maintain internal sales management data and contribute to preparation of relevant reporting documents, relating to pricing, volume, programme timing, main project list etc.
-Also involved with the development and maintenance of customer global and regional strategy plans and targeting of future business opportunities, research and collation of customer and competitor intelligence.


Candidate should be educated to degree level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline however relevant work experience also acceptable.
