Technical Lead (Automotive) - Swansea - £40-45k + benefits d.o.e

We are recruiting for a Section / Technical Leader to support the development and build of vehicle exhaust systems for a leading 1st Tier Supplier.
Reporting to the functional Manager you will be responsible for delivery new project exhaust systems into current production to maximise manufacturing processes whilst reducing scrap.

Responsibilities will include;
• Developing activities to achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery targets for new launch projects
• Drive forward KPI values are achieved – For example, Design Review, Design Release, Cost Reduction and Annual Appraisals.
• Developing good customer relations towards improvement of development satisfaction score.
• Conduct activities to gather information on exhaust development direction, e.g conference, competitor information, benchmark etc.
• Produce and implement joint plans with materials group to allow the introduction of material supply options within EU.
• Produce joint plans with CAE group to introduce certain appropriate exhaust simulation capabilities.
• Contribute to planning and execution of exhaust engineers skill up.

As a key member of the team you will ideally possess an Engineering Degree have exposure to exhaust system design and development allied with a strong exposure to production and material techniques and processes. With the ability to lead and development teams to delivery with a continuous improvement attitude, this opportunity offers excellent career progress and development for the right individual.

The salary will be £40,000 to £45,000 pa plus Benefits for experienced individuals who can demonstrate a strong background in exhaust systems design, development and production.
