Our client is looking to appoint a Design Engineer on a permanent basis to provide mechanical and hydraulic design capability to engineering activities/projects assigned to the department.
You will be experienced with Pro-Engineer Wildfire 4 and have a background in mechanical design to create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings of components and assemblies for bespoke vehicles.
In addition you will be required to:
- Create Bill of Materials
- Understand the purpose, usage and worth of processes and document formats (NPPD, FMEA, FTA, concept sheets, internal design standards, industry design standards).
- Understand component production issues
- Understand supply and field issues
- Conduct Component failure investigations in mechanical components and assemblies
- Support technical liaison with suppliers
- Proficient in Pro E or Pro Engineer Wildfire 4
Applicants are required to have:
- HND in engineering.
- 3D CAD Modelling experience
- A good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems used on off-highway products.
