Quality Engineer - Automotive - Basildon, Essex - £Competitive

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a role with a Global Automotive supplier based in Essex.

Main Purpose of Role
-Support all aspects of the Quality Management system, strategy and plans.
-Support the shop floor in all activities in furtherance of Quality Improvement to reduce PPM's both internally and externally. Support the customer and build relationships.
-Deal with supplier concerns and work to reduce non-conforming supplied product

Main Duties
- -Maintain the Quality System and standards that impact products and our accreditations.
- -Gather and analyse data, recommend and actively partake in improvement projects.
- -Champion Automotive APQP and PPAP projects and see them through to conclusion.
- -Champion data gathering and its analysis.
- -Champion internal audit process ensuring schedules are maintained and corrective actions completed.
- -Carry out inspection when necessary with respect to raw, in process material and finished product.
- -Keep the Quality Manager informed of any information that might impact product Quality and customer relations.
- -Represent the Quality department at internal meetings and projects.
- -Conduct customer visits with respect to Quality concerns and to build good relations.
- -Actively partake in customer and supplier site visits.
- -Analyse returned product, document findings and produce corrective actions.
- -Keep good records, maintain and manage data.
- -Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time in relation to the departments function.
- -Provide quality data at daily production start up meeting and react to quality concerns.

-MRP Exposure within Manufacturing Plant
-Microsoft Office Skills
-Exposure to Target driven environment
-Analytical approach
-Communication Skills
-Calibration of gauges
