A degree qualified Project Engineer with Hybrid Power experience is required for this iconic motorsport company based in Oxfordshire. The Project Engineer will lead a project and take responsibility for the installation of a Flywheel Energy Storage System into a public transport application.
Focussed on bringing their innovative flywheel energy storage system to market this company are now engaged in rolling out the technology to various Mass Transit markets.

The successful applicant will
-Be primary point of contact with the customer for all installation engineering issues.
-Responsible for overall physical package integration between the customer vehicles, working with the Mechanical Design department.
-Responsible for electrical integration for the customer for both high voltage power transmission and low voltage power and communications, working with the Electronics and Systems departments. -Ability to design electrical schematics for items such as CAN bus, 24V fan control, etc will be an asset.
-Development of FESS liquid cooling system installation, either water or oil based. This will involve selection and development of components such as pumps, hoses, heat exchangers and fans.
-Development of FESS vacuum system installation, working together with the client's vacuum engineer.
-Understanding the customers' specified performance, quality and reliability standards and ensuring that all the clients on-going FESS production validation programmes satisfy these needs.
-Involved in validation testing such as water and dust ingress, vibration testing, EMC testing, etc.

Other Requirements
-Tracking task lists between the customer and client to achieve project management goals.
-Produce project and test reports and updates to client specifications where needed.

Experience working in the automotive, mass transit or aerospace sectors would be an asset.
Experience in product validation programmes would be useful.
Able to understand basic analogue and digital electronic schematics would also be useful.

This role will require occasional travel to customer sites (some internationally located) therefore the applicant must be able and willing to travel.
