A Composite Material Development Engineer is required across several major lightweight material developments within a market leading design/manufacture of high end luxury/SUV/off-road vehicles based in the West Midlands
This role is part of an exciting new expansion of the team to meet increasing demands with the launch of future lightweight vehicles and models

You will have knowledge and experience with,

-Leading Materials Engineering composites activities on Technology Strategy Board (TSB) and European Agency funded projects.
-Development of standards and materials requirements for composite materials.
-Working with engineering teams to support the introduction of composite materials.
-Liaising with suppliers and materials engineering to validate composite materials solutions.

Skills Required:
-Experience of Composites design, specification and manufacture required in either Academic or Commercial environment.
-A high level of technical knowledge of Composite materials, processes and testing.
-A high level of supplier management skills High level of communication skills, both written and verbal High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
-Organisational and Project Management skills.
-Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level

-Full training will be given on Client OEM systems.

Education Required:
Candidates shall be educated to a minimum of degree level.

Additional Information:
Gaydon Based but expectation that candidate will support meeting and activities at our clients sites and academic institutions as required.
