Senior Hardware and Software Engineer - F1 - c£50k - Bicester

Based in Oxfordshire, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Hardware and Software Engineer to join this long established and very successful supplier of instrumentation, data-logging, sensor systems and video to F1 and Motorsport teams.

This is a key role in the business and will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with the Technical Director.

The role has responsibility for all aspects of the design and development of hardware and embedded firmware for a new range of products, covering all elements of the product design cycle from concept to production release.

Key responsibilities will include.
- System specification and design of data acquisition and intelligent sensor products for use in harsh, rugged environments
- Analogue, digital and processor based circuit design
- Embedded code design and implementation
- Prototype build, test and validation
- Core technology development
- Technical support to Sales and Product Support colleagues

Candidate requirements will include:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or near related subject
- Significant industry experience gained working in F1, Motorsport, Automotive, Military or Avionics
- Experience of data acquisition and / or sensor based product design utilising a range of microcontrollers.
- Experience of real-time embedded C, C++ and Linux and assembler software design with a good working knowledge CAN, Ethernet and similar interfaces.
- The ability to work under minimal supervision with a proven record of managing products and delivering on time.
