A permanent role for an experienced Tooling Engineer working for a market leading OEM in Warwickshire, you need to have proven experience on the tools' (increasing tool life and productivity) in a production machining environment.
Key skills required for this role are:
- A solid background as a tooling engineer (ideally within the automotive sector) who can increase the longevity of the tools' life and reduce non-productive time
- Experience contributing to PFMEA's and control plans and be familiar with the processes within a production machining environment
- Educated to degree level
- Lean and continual tool improvement experience with demonstrable skills in analysing tool float and making recommendations
The role is a key one for the firm as it will help to maximise production based on their ever expanding workload, there could be options to diversify into the supply chain by visiting suppliers and looking at the supply chain as a whole, if this is something that you would like to gain experience in.
