Reporting to the Quality Manager (based at Lincoln site), the individual will be responsible for the following:

- Provide a quality engineering service to aerospace engineering and manufacturing project teams, including technical support in the identification and interpretation of company, customer and international standards/specifications.
- Provide assistance in the preparation of appropriate and adequate quality procedures and working practices, quality plans, process charts etc
- Working with the project teams to ensure that these procedures are suitable and sufficient.
- Provide a quality assurance service to the engineering and manufacturing projects through conducting internal compliance audits and supporting quality reviews with customers, arranging, implementing or responding to corrective actions as necessary, and closely monitoring these until they are closed-out
- Register and progress concession requests and to liaise with suppliers and the engineering department to ensure that concessions are reviewed, sentenced and closed out in accordance with Company procedures.
- Provide assistance to the Operations Director in the generation of quality metrics and reporting data as necessary.
- Conduct supplier quality audits as necessary in support of the purchasing function.


Experience Required

- Will have worked in the aerospace industry and be familiar with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.
- Proven experience conducting quality audits and supporting customer and third party certification audits.
- Good understanding of precision machining and processes, drawing practices, calibration, certification standards.
- Understanding of quality management tools (e.g.. 6 sigma, Pareto, Kaizen, 5Ys, 8Ds etc).
- Proven experience in the manufacture of flight hardware would be a distinct advantage.


Qualifications Required:

- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths
- HND or equivalent in relevant discipline desirable
- Recognised internal auditor training

    Our client has a requirement for an Embedded C Software Engineer to support the development activities for electronic control systems specifically within our BIOS development team. The team is responsible for the design and implementation of our next generation series of complex multi processor engine control and data acquisition systems.
    The Embedded C Software Engineer will have proven experience with the design process from concept to design, implementation and test.
    Experience for software design for safety critical systems.
    Ability to understand and resolve problems at both system and code level.
    Extensive project experience of developing high quality C and Assembler for embedded systems.
    A team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a multi-discipline, multi-project environment.
    Self motivation.

    Technical Experience Required:
    Freescale Power Architecture processors: MPC8xxx PowerQUICC III, MPC55xx Automotive microcontrollers.
    Register level configuration of on-chip peripherals and memory management for the above devices including CPM, MMU, DMA, eTPU, eQADC, eMIOS, CAN.
    Logic analysers/scopes/test equipment.
    RTOS and interrupts

    This Buyer role would assume responsibility for the support of a number of resource activities within the Body In White purchase team as they consolidate their supplier base.
    Main responsibilities would include:
    Working with a set of suppliers to manage the introduction of resourced product into their business.
    Integrating with a wider cross functional project team to ensure that the projects are delivered on time to an agreed cost at the appropriate quality level.
    Managing the current incumbent supplier out of the business. Reporting project status weekly to purchase / STA management. Liaising with purchase finance to secure the funding for the resource projects.
    Skills Required:
    Excellent Communication Skills with the ability to develop world-class influencing and negotiating skills.
    Aptitude to operate effectively within a challenging team environment.
    Attention to detail is essential as they will be required to adhere to comlex processes.
    Full driving license and passport required.

    Skills Preferred:
    Good level of IT competence in programmes such as Excel and Word and a high level of numerical and analytical competence are essential.

    Experience Required:
