Our client design and develop electronic control systems for use in harsh environments such as aerospace and automotive. They have been supplying control and data acquisition systems to these or similar industries for a number of years. These systems comprise of standard electronic units, software, alternators, and components, but special parts can be provided. They can often help to transform specific ideas or requirements into new parts to satisfy a particular sensing or actuation demand.
Our client has a requirement for an Embedded C Software Engineer to support the development activities for electronic control systems specifically within our BIOS development team. The team is responsible for the design and implementation of our next generation series of complex multi processor engine control and data acquisition systems.
The Embedded C Software Engineer will have proven experience with the design process from concept to design, implementation and test.
Experience for software design for safety critical systems.
Ability to understand and resolve problems at both system and code level.
Extensive project experience of developing high quality C and Assembler for embedded systems.
A team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a multi-discipline, multi-project environment.
Self motivation.

Technical Experience Required:
Freescale Power Architecture processors: MPC8xxx PowerQUICC III, MPC55xx Automotive microcontrollers.
Register level configuration of on-chip peripherals and memory management for the above devices including CPM, MMU, DMA, eTPU, eQADC, eMIOS, CAN.
Logic analysers/scopes/test equipment.
RTOS and interrupts
