The company is a high performance engineering company, specialists in the development and production of Advanced Composite components, Keronite ceramic treatments for light alloys, and tough, versatile Polyurethane Mouldings: all for a range of high technology industries, including Motorsport and Aerospace. Due to continued expansion they are currently seeking a Production Planner Controller.
The Production Planner and controller will ensure that the company`s "Business Plan" is supported by the appropriate production planning and control systems to facilitate the efficient and timely manufacture of product.
To plan and control the demand on the SAP system (MPS) and be aware of the forward sales plan in order to support operational forward planning.
To have a full understanding of the BOMs and BOPs for the products and maintain the BOPs and their associated cycle times in order to maintain the planning system.
Manage, monitor and maintain the company s CAPACITY planning models.
Develop the company s Production Planning capability to ensure best practice and techniques are used and maintained.
To seek and give support to all those who interface with 1. and 2 in order to support the Sales and Operations Planning Process.
Develop awareness of the techniques and associated procedures used in the Production Planning and Control processes to enable these to be part of the business culture.
Produce appropriate Metrics and Reports to facilitate continuous improvement and clearly communicate actions and progress.
Ensure that the demand on the business is fully captured and is communicated effectively.
Liaise with Manufacturing to keep the plan on target.
Participate in the continuous improvement process in order to keep up to date with process techniques and equipment
