Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of vehicle control systems, providing quality engineered pedal systems, steering systems, electronic displays and cable controls to the world s foremost manufacturers of commercial, industrial, agricultural and construction vehicles.

An opportunity has arisen for one of their major clients for a pivotal role within the Finance Department that analyses and provides data essential for meeting both local and corporate reporting requirements; they are seeking a person experienced in the effective management of financial and costing data, and the production of management accounts for reporting purposes.
Key responsibilities and activities include:-
Preparation of month end reporting to draft accounts such as but not exclusive to, sales, margin, variance and overhead analysis, accruals, and relevant commentaries
Support/prepare forecasts and annual budgets in line with local and corporate deadlines
Be able to host and present management information at management meetings and present financial data to other KA employees/stakeholders
Complete Balance Sheet and Reconciliation Management (such as Bank, Inventory, Prepayments, Unbilled, Inter Company, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll Control, etc)
Standard Costing maintenance budgeting/forecasting, product costing roll ups, PPV, etc
Perform monthly FX balance sheet revaluations
Assist/Preparation of annual Statutory Accounts and Audit File
Preparing statutory reports and returns e.g. VAT, Intrastat etc.
Fixed Asset Register maintenance, reconciliations and PEA tracking, supporting other stakeholders in preparation of investment proposals
Journal preparation, posting, document management (inclusive of monthly payroll journal)
The ideal candidate should have the appropriate accountancy qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA. An MBA is desirable but not essential.

A professional manner, especially when presenting financial information to various management teams is essential, along with being able to effectively communicate at all levels, both written and oral. Good organisation skills are a must in order to meet the various deadlines in the financial calendar.

Advanced Excel skills will be required, with a good working knowledge of other Microsoft office applications, such as Power Point for presentation purposes. Extensive experience of an MRP / ERP system and corporate reporting systems such as Hyperion will also be essential. Experience of working with PRMS transactions and reports is advantageous.

Candidates need to have good commercial awareness, ideally gained from working in either a manufacturing or automotive environment, and be adaptable to meet the needs of the department whilst retaining and assessing the big picture when working with the detail.
