Junior Electronics Design Engineer
Berkshire, England

A global providers of elevator safety detectors and communication systems are now looking for a Junior Electronics Design Engineer to work at their Head Office based in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Generating innovative product concepts and solutions.
Develop functional specifications for new products
Electrical design from concept through to production.
Schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout.
Preparing and release of component specifications, Bill of Materials and drawings.
Specification / development of production test equipment.
Liaise with suppliers, purchase, quality and Manufacturing
Managing / coordinating engineering changes and maintain detailed design records.
Participate in field evaluations ensuring best in class cost / quality versus competitors.



Key Skills and Attributes:

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a track record in embedded microprocessor based projects. Analogue / Digital electronic circuit design experience is essential and embedded software development skills are highly desirable.
Above all, you will be extremely innovative and have a can-do attitude.



Must be pro-active and results driven.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Logical thought processes with excellent problem solving skills.
The Junior Electronics Design Engineer must hold a minimum 2:1 degree in electronics (or similar) with analogue and digital design experience.



Preferable Skills



Embedded software development in C.
Experienced in designing and passing appropriate EMC requirements
Experience in infra-red detection systems, RF Design and GSM telecoms.
Experience in the design of Audio products and Switched Mode Power Supplies.
Understanding of optical design
A good understanding of design for manufactures and test methodologies.
