Automotive Systems Engineer (Exhaust Energy Recovery)

Our client is an Automotive company tha are developing a portfolio of advanced Powertrain technologies.
They now require an experienced Auto Systems Engineer with extensive Engine Development and Simulation knowledge.
The purpose of the role is to lead system level development of the company`s exhaust energy recovery project from initial specification phase to installation and testing in vehicle.
You will work with development partners to develop exhaust energy recovery system requirements.
Use powertrain simulation and modelling tools to generate quantified requirements for design teams. Participate in development of system level documentation (SRD) and DFMEA process.
Work closely with C the design team to generate mechanical aspects of machine design.
Work with Control System, Electronics and external partners to develop overall control system architecture, electrical machine configuration and electronics design.
Liaise with external partners to ensure compatibility of design with vehicle package, electrical system and energy storage system.
Generate test and development plans. Implement plans and evaluate results
Requirements and experience:
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Experience of Engine and Powertrain systems development is essential
Experience of turbo charging and supercharging systems is desirable.
Experience of powertrain development tools (eg ATI, INCA, Gredi, Wave, Advisor etc) is desirable
Experience of Hybrid vehicle systems and energy management is desirable
Experience of automotive electric machines (particularly Switched Reluctance) is desirable
