Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of vehicle control systems, providing quality engineered pedal systems, steering systems, electronic displays and cable controls to the world s foremost manufacturers of commercial, industrial, agricultural and construction vehicles.
They are now looking for a Production Planner to take ownership of the value stream map for the Architectural / Kantrak side of the business.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
Carrying out Production Planning functions, setting and owning the Production Plan for allocated Strategic customer Base.
Receive and process onto operating system customer orders, in a timely manner
Ensure contract review of all orders is carried out for other Strategic Customers
Prepare operating system input relating to newly acquired customer accounts
Provide product and / or service information.
Resolve customer requests for adjustments to orders and invoicing.
Record customer complaints to ensure measurement and improvement.
Work on varied and complex customer service assignments.
Confer with management concerning the resolution of any difficult issues.
Provide quotations service to customers.
Maintain awareness of, and contribute to, business KPI s.
Assist in continuous improvement opportunities and programmes.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
As the Operational Planner you will have the ability to communicate well, laterally and vertically within the organisation. You will have strong organisation and planning skills along with good influencing skills when dealing with customers and internal departments
Exposure to financial and budgets with a general understanding of a Lean Culture
Use of computers; Microsoft Office software, with some familiarity of MRP software systems
Ability to use Web based customer sites
