A Programme Attribute Team Leader is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Position Description:
Programme Attribute Team Leader, HMI (Human Machine Interface) and A&U (Accommodation & Usability).

Job Requirements
For specific new vehicle programmes, take project management responsibility for development of the Human Machine Interface, Accommodation and Usability: i.e. develop & set targets, develop the vehicle concept with Design & Engineering, ensure adherence to relevant standards, lead problem resolution and validate delivery throughout the vehicle design & development process. Report status using formal documentation (e.g. eFDVS) and act as the attribute single point of contact for the programme team.

Skills Required:
Sound understanding of good HMI & ergonomic design principles for vehicle systems user-controls. Statistical analysis, problem solving & root-cause analysis. Clear and concise communicator. Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to short timescales & deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised within the local team and interfacing across business functions.

Details
Skills Preferred:
Interpretation of customer quality data (e.g. JD Power). Design of experiments (HMI & Ergonomics).

Experience Required:
Design & validation of electronic systems functionality (in particular, user-interfaces) e.g. HMI/functionality specifications creation, set-up & conduct user-trials. Vehicle design for driver & passenger accommodation and usability.

Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with Premium automotive sector, products and features. Competitor research/benchmarking (physical & web-based).

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a related discipline (Human Factors, Ergonomics and/or Engineering).

Education Preferred:
Higher qualification (e.g. MSc in Human Factors).

Additional Information:
This role is based at Gaydon, but will also require frequent working at Whitley.
