A Powerpack Project Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Dunton, Basildon, Essex.

Description
Position Description:
Project planning, control and documentation of assigned powerpack programs. Lead the powerpack PMT meeting. Coordinate/support the timely achievement of project deliverables with powertrain engineering teams (PSMT's) in particular: transmission, controls, calibration, base engine, exhaust, clutch. Plan updating and communication of gateway requirements for current and future program gateways.

Job Requirements
Liaise with related commodity teams to generate powerpack and powertrain assumptions & bill-of-material. Support regular communication through status reports and one pagers to PMT, PST and PIR meetings on program progress and agree on next steps. Support when necessary resolution of P/T concerns, including DPA issues. Represent (if required) powerpack team at related vehicle team meetings (VPMT). Major responsibilities listed do not necessarily include a description of all position responsibilities.

Skills Required:
Working knowledge of powertrain systems & attributes. Self motivated, good communicator and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel as necessary UK/D & occasionally US.

Details
Experience Required:
Experience in project management and control of product development projects. Knowledge of powertrain development process, preferably gained within component or project activity. Experience of OEM product development processes would be an advantage (GPDS, eFDVS & T&D).

Education Required:
Engineering Degree/equivalent.
