    Our client is a leading automotive component manufacturer of BIW components and sunroof assemblies. As Weld Integrity Technician you must have experience in weld integrity in the automotive industry and in robot teaching / know how together with a minimum of 2 years experience working in the BIW quality environment and proven continuous process improvement/problem solving skills.
    This is a shift based role to support production. Liaising directly with production associates, early and late shifts will entail general support, troubleshooting any welding related problems and counter measuring them, including equipment calibrations checks on robots and weld timers; implementing destruct test countermeasures; tip dresser improvements and robot re-teaching.

    Good communication is required between shifts to enable accurate and smooth handovers. An ability to work with data and process information is essential. There will also be some involvement in New Model or Project work which will involve working out of core hours. It is expected that major improvement work will be planned during shutdowns periods.
    You must have good communications skills (written and verbal), the ability to use your own initiative and meet specified deadlines and be computer literate (MS Office) with a very flexible approach to work.
