Weld Integrity Co-ordinator

Our client is a leading automotive component manufacturer of BIW components and sunroof assemblies. Reporting to Maintenance Manager on product quality issues, as Weld Integrity Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for co-ordinating, investigating, initiating preventative, corrective and improvement actions. The role also supports companywide quality improvement activities, new product introduction within the Weld Department, the management of the department integrity quality issues and management of the department`s weld consumables and tip control.
You will need product knowledge (welded products), quality systems and manufacturing experience (Min 5 years). You will also have experience in weld integrity in the automotive industry and have experience in robot teaching / know how together with experience in NDT (non-destructive testing). You must also have a minimum of 2 years experience working in the BIW quality environment, working knowledge of the department quality system and how it interacts with other departments, a proven track record in management of large and small teams, proven
continuous process improvement/problem solving skills and project planning experience.
You will need an understanding of Quality Tools (capability, analysis, cause and effect, etc.), have strong presentation skills,
willingness and ability to coach and develop members of the team, be open to flexible working hours and have a proven ability to remain focused and apply a logical approach in pressure situations. You will also need to be able to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Proven track record in management of large and small teams
Proven continuous process improvement/problem solving skills
Project planning experience
