System Integration Engineers - Engine Control and eKERS
Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit two contract (or perm) System Integration Engineers.

Reporting to the Team Leader, one Engineer will work on engine control integration, the other Engineer will work on regenerative braking systems (Li batteries).

You will be responsible for the validation and test of control systems comprising uP, transducers, control algorithms, software. You will devise tests and problem solve issues with system functionality in a real time environment

Duties to include:

* Electrical integration of battery systems into a high performance vehicle
* Design, development, validation and application of battery disconnect systems, fuse, batteries, BMS systems, GFI systems, contactors, connectors, HV and LV wiring.
* Specify and coordinate battery pass off and engineering tests
* Specify and coordinate battery validation tests
* Provide rapid root cause failure analysis and solutions to the business
* Document specifications and procedures as required


Essential Requirements:

* Degree level or higher qualified in Engineering
* 3 years experience in automotive development environment
* System and component testing, fault finding and troubleshooting
* Experience of high voltage (1kv) and high power systems

Desirable Attributes:

* Awareness of automotive hardware and software design and validation processes
* Automotive sensors and actuators component development
