Principal Engineer (Upper Structures CAD)

Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
We are recruiting for a Principal Engineer (Upper Structures CAD) on a 6-month contract based in Coventry with some travel to europe and possibly India.
As Principal Engineer (Upper Structurs CAD), you will:
* Be responsible for feasibility and details layout design (3D Modelling) engineering of Body components.
* Maintain master section book
* Develop concepts to solve issues proir to engineering release.
* Perform DMU checks using Catia
* Carry out all design work on Catia V5, release 19.
Applicants must be:
* Degree qualified or have a similar qualification.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills
* Have experience of the automotive industry.
* Capable of leading a project element with support from more senior staff when necessary.
* Effective team member, contributing to improvemens and high customer services.
* Demonstate depth of knowledge in a relevant technical speciality.
* Chartered or working toward chartered status.
