An exciting opportunity to join a world-class global purchasing team responsible for $560M annual spend on all sorts of electronics components. One of the world s largest producers of electric steering systems, braking system and safety system, supplying a wide range of vehicle manufacturers including VW, Ford, GM, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault and Fiat.
Electronics purchasing data assistant will support the whole team including five different commodities to collect, consolidate, validate, analyse data. It is a fundamentally important work for the team and the organization. Being patient, careful, accurate, strict, zero-error is absolutely essential for this role.
This is a very fast-paced sector requiring excellent time management, task management, priority management, quick reaction, performance delivery. To ensure the satisfied result, effective communication within the team is required, especially with the data users. This role requires excellent excel and PowerPoint skills.
What you ll do
Source electronics components according to the BOM list of new programmes
Carry out global competitive sourcing activities on the current mass production components
Document sourcing decisions following the purchasing process
What we are looking for
Essential:
Purchasing experience:
Min. 3 years of purchasing experience in Electronics in automotive industry
Understand common purchasing process
Be able to analyze supplier s quotes
Be able to negotiate with suppliers to make sourcing recommendations
Computer skills:
Be able to use excel (2003 and 2007), PowerPoint, access excellently
Be able to use most of the excel functions to do data analysis/consolidation
Communication, team work, personality
Have experience of dealing with people(incl. colleagues and suppliers) from different countries in a professional manner
excellent team player and performance driven
Smart, hard working, moderate, efficient, assertive, self-motivated, careful, accurate
Be able to manage multi-tasks/ priorities to deliver on time
Desirable:
Electronics Engineering background would be an advantage
Multi-language speakers would be preferred
