We are recruiting for a NPI Project Team Leader on a permanent basis in Leicester.
An NPI Project Leader is required to lead complex product development projects from conception through to implementation into production.
As NPI Project Team Leader, you will report to the Backhoe Loader NPI Manager. Responsibilities of the role includes leadership for one or more BHL projects as required by our product development MGPP and the needs of the business. Project leadership will cover all aspects including overseeing or owning:
* Business case preparation
* Function and technical specification preparation/sign-off
* Scope definition and project planning
* Resource requirements identification and project team formation
* Concept design creation, evaluation and selection
* Detailed design, drawing release and prototype (PD) builds
* Testing and validation
* Production releasing and implementation onto the production line
* Product launch, support and ongoing maintenance
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or another relevant discipline, or an equivalent qualification
Strong project leadership and communication skills proven in a construction equipment design and manufacturing environment or a similar industry
Additionally the following qualifications/experience will be highly desirable:
* Experience of New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ideally gained while serving on more than one NPI program
* Backhoe Loader product and customer/dealer knowledge
* Experience of working within a global team environment
* Experience of working in multiple departments including but not limited to engineering, purchasing, marketing, product support, operations, manufacturing and accounting
* Working knowledge of engineering/NPI systems including Pro/ENGINEER, EDS, VisMockup, NPI Workflow, etc.
* 6 Sigma DMAIC and DMEDI Black Belt training
