Materials Planner and BOM Control
Northamptonshire, England
£30k - 50k per year + Pro rata
Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Materials Planner and BOM Control on a contract basis until September 2012.
The individual will be responsible for:
a) ensuring material requirements are clear to purchasing/ scheduling and up to date on SAP
b) ensure BOMs are up to date (both SAP and LCA)
c) raising and updating kits for stores to pick
d) release and update ERs for build to deliver to.
Key Responsibilities to include:
1) Planning a portfolio of parts for selected programme, which includes:
a) Interpretation of MRP
b) Creation of purchase requisitions, production orders.
c) Use of Planning Tables
d) Interpretation of goods movements, transactions and stock transfers.
2) BoM structuring and maintenance
3) Raising kits to enable picking in stores
4) Creating and updating Engine Requests
5) Working closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling, Quality, Finance, Stores and Build to ensure the planned requirements are met and barriers to this are removed.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* SAP knowledge (MRP, BoM control)
* LCA knowledge
* F1 database knowledge
* Familiarity with the layout and functions of the different parts of the engine
* Competent in Excel
