Electronics Test Diagnostic Engineer
Birmingham / Solihull

An excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer, working in the West Midlands area for a leading aerospace supplier of electronic fuel control systems.
This role is based in the West Midlands, close to the M42 and is commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Redditch and Warwick.

You will be the first Tier of diagnostic support for electronic control products in the manufacturing diagnostic areas and to progress technical investigations to a successful conclusion where practicable. You will report directly to the Diagnostics Module Team Leader
Tier 1 support for all failures within the allocated diagnostic areas for ICT or Unit test.
Use the tools provided to progress diagnostic investigations through to a repair solution in a timely manner.
Raise documentation to record test failures in accordance with the test plan.
Complete investigation documentation in accordance with Test Assurance guide lines and company procedure.
To escalate technical problems and investigations where applicable.
Enter and log CINCOM route data when necessary to progress an investigation.
You will be qualified with a HND/HNC/BTEC, or equivalent experience in electronic engineering or related discipline.
Self motivated with good communication skills and can interface well with other functions within the business.
Performs well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
A degree of self-management and self-motivation with ability to work on own initiative.
Possess the necessary enthusiasm, drive and commitment to achieve results.
