An opportunity has arisen for a Senior APQP Engineer with a major first tier automotive supplier to German and British based OEM`s with injection moulding and assembly on site. Satellite site a few miles away supplies cast and machined components.
The main responsibilities of the APQP Engineer will be:
To manage the Quality Planning Requirements for new product introduction
To develop processes and systems to improve APQP Dep`t operation
To supervise and support APQP/PPAP Engineers
The Key Accountabilities of the APQP Engineer will be:
Define, plan and supervise the preparation of APQP supporting documentation for new projects
In conjunction with the Project Management team, define resource and timing requirements to enable on-time product approval
In conjunction with the Project Management team, define and plan the role and responsibilities of APQP Engineering
Implement and develop systems for APQP, including software systems
Implement Management Status Reporting system, to give early warning of potential problem areas to Management to resolve
Define APQP requirements for sub-contracted product. Assist Supplier Development Engineers in Supplier training etc.
