Our client acquires, develops and applies new ideas and improved components to support their customer s products. They also offer design, development, manufacture and software services and products to the aerospace, space, energy and transport industries.
Reporting to the Quality Manager (based at Lincoln site), the individual will be responsible for the following:
This role is a requirement to bolster the small Quality department the firm has; the department is split between to their two offices in Lincoln and Leicestershire. Some travel between the offices may be required; they need an experienced Quality Engineer to provide support to the Quality Manager assisting with preparing procedures, implementation and continuous improvement. you will need a sound understanding and the ability to implement the some of the following methodology/quality management tools: 6 sigma, Pareto, Kaizen, 5Ys and 8D.
They ideally need a person whop has proven experience in the Aerospace experience and it is essential that you have completed internal audits to ISO9001 standard as this is the standard the office is working with; there could be a small amount of a SQE role also. You will act as a point of liaison for customers and staff alike so you must feel comfortable answering Quality questions and more technical enquiries too.
